KATHI'S QUEST
FOR THE COLONIAL THEATER
FOR THE COLONIAL THEATER
|
Kathleen Ann Rogers Wall was born December 2, 1943, and passed away June 6, 2026, leaving behind a life so generously and purposefully lived that her gifts will continue to reverberate in the lives that she impacted for generations.
She was a nurse, an educator, an advocate, a social worker, a leader, an executive, a conservationist, a scientist, a chef, a craftsperson, a grant writer, a gardener, a writer, and an artist. A woman whose insatiable curiosity about the world was matched only by her determination to make it better. As a long-time supporter of the arts - and specifically the Augusta Colonial Theater - Kathi's family has set up a fund in her name to raise money to finish the project that she poured herself into. Kathi served as Executive Director of the theater for four years and then served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors until her passing. Per her wishes, in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Kathi's Quest for the Augusta Colonial Theater. For more information or to make a donation, please click here: |

ABOUT US
Get to Know UsThe Augusta Colonial Theater is a signature landmark of Downtown Augusta, Maine, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Beginning with silent films and vaudeville acts, the Colonial served as a beacon for culture for the entire Kennebec Valley region from 1913 to 1969. In the 1990s, after many years of neglect, the building was saved from demolition by concerned citizens who became the nonprofit’s founding members. |
This video, made from a slide deck, was shown to theater visitors in the summer of 2025. It runs about 24 minutes and contains some great historic information as well as a summary of what is to come.
