The Kennebec Valley United Way has partnered with 26 local schools and programs, as well as many area businesses, to sponsor student Days of Caring. This annual event matches student volunteers with work projects at local sites in Kennebec Valley.
The Day of Caring program demonstrates that volunteering truly brings out the best in all of us. Students, local businesses and the United Way all work together to lend a helping hand. We are proud of our students and the community spirit they demonstrate through the program.
This year students from the Maine Arts Academy again spent the morning volunteering at the Augusta Colonial Theater to help us clean up and refresh the theater for the season! We were excited to have them! This year they cleaned the lobby and the theater, got a little tour, and helped refresh the small stage area with a coat of paint so it blends better with the floor! THANK YOU MAINE ARTS ACADEMY!!
